July 30, 2008 - PRLog -- Women of Wisdom  Hosts Open Networking Brunch and Movie

New York, July 30, 2008 . . .  ““Go, You never know who you might meet,” advises Jaclyn Bernstein, President and Partner of Empire Force Events, revealing one of the basic success strategies she will share at the launch of the New York chapter of WOW, Women of Wisdom, an open-invitation networking empowerment brunch for men and women on August 3, at New York’s favorite British Pub, The Telephone Bar and Grill in the East Village.

The event includes a screening of the new comedy “Sixty Six,”  starring Oscar-nominated actress Helena Bonham Carter (“Sweeney Todd,” “Room with a View”) and directed by Paul Weiland (“Made of Honor” with Patrick Dempsey).  The film, distributed by First Independent Pictures, opens this August in select cities including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Boston and Portland. For more info on "Sixty Six," go to the film's site at www.66thefilm.com

Brooklyn-born Networking Maven Goldman of Columbia, MD, founded WOW in 2000 on the premise that the innate and acquired wisdom of women, if shared, could be a powerful resource to all involved. Ms. Goldman, who has been bringing people together for years, is the recipient of the Department of Defense Ambassadorship Award for her work building friendships between Asian and American women.

What sets WOW apart from other organizations is the proactive effort of Ms. Goldman to seek those with special talents.  Jaclyn Bernstein epitomizes the women sought by Goldman to meet and mentor members. Ms. Bernstein’s ability to build strategic alliances, particularly in difficult times, helped to catapult her trend-setting company to the top of her industry, serving clients worldwide, and earning her two prestigious Event Solutions Spotlight Awards, “Event Planner of the Year” and “Samaritan Service.”  With seemingly endless creativity and energy, the firm, featured on an episode of Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice,” has won more awards than any other event production company in New York City. Behind it all is the compassionate philosophy of a woman wise beyond her years, ever leading with such maxims as: “You can only be as good to your clients as your vendors are to you; it’s not about the client, but the partnership of the whole team.”

WOW Guests will also be treated to a Designer Cake by Sugar Artist Kamber Sherrod of the Sticky Fingers Bakery.  www.stickydfingersbakers.

“If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere!” goes the song, “New York, New York,” and Ms. Goldman is bringing WOW to the Big Apple “to help make sure you can!” she says.
