July 28, 2008 - PRLog -- Sky News weather presenter Lucy Verasamy said "we could well see" the same temperatures again.

But she also warned that downpours which began last night would return across central and southern England and Wales.

"As the hot spell continues, it is feeling muggy again today with some heavy and thundery showers breaking out across southern Britain," she said.

"Later, as steadier rain heads into the southwest, there will be thunder and torrential downpours, drifting northwards through the night."

It's thought that the best place to catch a bit more British sunshine may be the north of Scotland, which will hold on to the drier weather for a bit longer.

As the first week of the summer holidays progresses, the weather is expected to remain changeable.

Verasamy added: "Tomorrow, there will be further showery outbreaks in the west and temperatures a few degrees lower than recent days."
