July 14, 2008 - PRLog -- With a range of LCD TVs already available, Samsung has announced it is developing its screen technology.

The Register reports that the firm's new Blue Phase technology, which boosts the frame rate of an LCD TV panel, has been unveiled - with a 15-inch model currently being touted.

It is reported that the South Korean manufacturer has boosted image frame rates on the new Blue Phase screen to 240Hz - estimated to be around double what is on offer from the current models available.

However, it is also noted as the technology - which aims to give a smoother picture free from motion blur - is in its early stages, it may not go into mass production until around 2011.

Earlier this year, Tech.co.uk reported that Samsung had addressed some of the problems with LCD TVs of the past and turned them into a winning formula with the LE52F96BD model.
