| Ericka Carr's Virtual Assistant “Your Creative Work Partner” Helps Small Businesses ThriveVirtual Assistant “Your Creative Work Partner” will help you make the most of your business day—without wasting time!
By: Lovelace Lee III You Make the Most of Your Business Day MERCED, CA—Like most busy business people are you inundated with phone calls daily? Are you without an assistant? Are you spending too much time on calls that you shouldn’t bother taking? Are you missing important calls trying to handle everything yourself? No man or woman is an island. “Business phone calls are too important to mishandle,” believes Ericka Carr of Merced, California-based Your Creative Work Partner a virtual assistant company. “My goal was to create an affordable helping hand for small business owners.” “YCWP is not a live service,” admits Carr. “It does however relieve clients from dealing with any calls that are not time sensitive. Those are left to me.” Carr says her ideal client is the average busy businessperson who needs someone to intercept messages. What Carr does: She will call into the client's voicemail once a day in the evening. She listens to messages, takes down numbers, gets a time and date stamp, then sends the messages to the client—via email. Once a month she accesses her "sent" email messages to tally up the number of messages transcribed. The number of messages is indicated daily in the subject line of daily emails. She emails and charges clients only for new, unheard messages. Clients are free to intercept any calls that they want to take themselves. Why Carr’s service is needed: Many businesspeople feel they can do it all, and they feel that they need to answer every call, but many times it’s unnecessary. Clients decide when they want to call someone back, but have the information handy so they don't have to spend time calling in to their voicemail, deleting, fast forwarding, repeating the process and generally wasting time. Clients receive a written record of calls, along with telephone numbers that can be added to their phone book when they have time. This takes away the worry that a client might have about accidentally deleting an important call from their phone. Clients always have a back up, since Carr can re-send any messages they may have accidentally deleted from their phone. And of course, all calls and information are kept strictly confidential. Carr stresses that hers is not a live service. But where else are clients going to get this level of professionalism, customer service and attention-to- Carr has openings for just 12 new clients can be reached at (209) 777-1476 or via email at erickac@yahoo.com. # # # Robert Lucy Creative promotes underserved small businesses.
