Where Are The Women In Technology And Entrepreneurship?!

June 27, 2008 - PRLog -- This weekend, Boulder Women Engaging Technology, BWET, will host its “Big Event,” an assembly to bring together female tech enthusiasts and entrepreneurs from across the region.

Gathering in Boulder, the region’s technological hotbed, the event is sponsored by public relations and marketing firm Metzger Associates and local coffee shop, The Cup.

“Bringing together local women who have a passion for technology has helped us uncover some fascinating ideas, trends and concepts,” said BWET founder and tech maven Gwen Bell. “We have a great time at our weekly meetings and decided to throw a larger get-together to encourage women who are interested in technology to come out of the woodwork and share in the fun.”

The event will kick off at The Cup and feature two guest talks by Laura Mayes, founder of Kirtsy, and Tara Anderson, community catalyst for Lijit. A breakout session of note, “Glam Your Gadgets,” will be led by Aimee Oelke from Original Radiance and will offer BWET participants a chance to relive the nostalgic days of jewels, glitter, and sparkly things - think “Bedazzle” but for adults.
