Tealion offers Yellow Pages online to Novice Users

Tealion is a local search and yellow pages site for novice and intermediate users. People can easily access small business phone numbers and street addresses.

June 18, 2008 - PRLog -- AKRON--Tealion.com (http://www.tealion.com) today announced what it believes is the simplest, easiest-to-use local directory site where users can find information on restaurants, hotels, and other local businesses.  Unlike other local search and yellow page directory sites, Tealion is absent code and excess graphcis that clutter the interface and slow the experience.  Tealion is aiming its directory at novice and intermediate users.

“Local options have advanced in complexity," says Chris Taylor, Founder of Tealion. "But in doing so, they've left behind a large swath of users who need only look up a phone number or get an address to a business they've been to before.  Our mission is to construct a local directory that can be used by anyone on any machine."

Tealion allows users to select various local categories such as dentists, hair stylists, and even B2B categories like cement providers.  The site features over 10 million listings in about 6,000 business categories.  The website offers listings nationwide - from Boston to Seattle.  Business information provided includes address, phone number, and if available, services provided and web address.

"Power users have many options on the Web when it comes to local," said Taylor.  "However, many users are new to the Net.  They would rather sacrifice some amount of functionality and complexity, for an easily navigable site."
