Randall's ESL Cyber Listening Lab Creates Interactive Blog for ESL/EFL Students

ESL/EFL students can now practice their listening, writing, and critical-thinking skills by visiting Randall's ESL Blog, developed by Randall Davis of Randall's ESL Cyber Listening Lab (www.esl-lab.com)

June 6, 2008 - PRLog -- American Fork, Utah - Over the last few years, the Internet has become a place where people interact with others as a means meeting new people, learn new languages, and share their ideas. In response to this, Randall Davis, developer of http://www.esl-lab.com, has created his own text AND audio blog to meet the interests of ESL/EFL learners. Basically, Randall posts ideas on language and culture in either written or audio form, and then visitors as encourage to respond:

You can use to the site by following these steps:

1. Go to http://esl-lab.blogspot.com, and read and/or listen to the learning tip or idea.

2. Think about these questions: What is the topic? What are two or three main ideas about the topic? Do you agree or disagree with these points and why? How does the point relate to you or other learners?

3. Write and post a comment about the topic and questions listed above. Comments are moderated for appropriateness. Please include your first name and country so we can get to know you better.

The blog also has a number of ongoing polls that you can answer and see how other visitors feel on similar topics. Finally, the blog posts are linked to Randall's main site, and visitors are guided from the listening activities to related posts.

"So far, the response has been very positive," comments Randall. "Teachers from around the world are sending the students to the blog, and it has given these students a better understanding about how others feel culture in their countries."
