PRLog -- Padmakar Karve has been an innovator in the field of retail design, planning and construction for more than two decades. He is currently the senior manager of construction for Borders, a leading bookseller with more than a thousand locations throughout the United States, Canada, Australia and Asia. In this capacity, Paddy is responsible for overseeing all of Borders’ retail store projects, including their most difficult properties. Paddy is well qualified for this magnanimous task as he has extensive experience in construction, holds a Master of Architecture degree from Oklahoma University and is widely renowned for his innovative style, creative design and technical proficiency. Paddy attends many design conferences, both to learn and to share his expertise. He has been featured in various publications and industry journals where his work has been the topic of several exposé’s and symposiums. Paddy credits his success to his passion for architecture and to his penchant for creativeness. This innate sense of imagination is often enhanced through his travels and study of alternate structure styles. He visits India each year where he is always captivated by the ornate architectural designs. He takes numerous photographs during his travels for his own collection and for use in another of his aspirations, writing a book on his travel experiences. When Paddy is not creating a new Borders store, traveling or working on his book, he participates in community service, donates to charities that benefit the arts and spends time with his family.
