Hawaiian Shamanism Offers a Way to Receive Aloha and Personal Power from the Spirits

April 28, 2008 - PRLog -- Chicago, Illinois - Hawaiian shamanism offers a cosmology and a way of working with the spirits that is unique amongst other shamanic groups. Through a series of workshops— the first being Ho’omanamana – Initiation into the Power of Hawai’I, led by Larry Kessler—people learn about Hawaiian shamanism’s simplicity and how to get personal power from the spirits.

Sponsored by the Animal Spirit Healing and Education Network (ASN), this two-day workshop will involve intense cleansing and self-work, plus provide techniques and tools for using love (aloha) and power (mana) to heal yourself and others.

“Ho’omanamana, which means to empower, will allow the students to unleash their personal power through chants, journeys, and initiations,” said Kessler. “Once immersed in this power, the person will find the beauty and aloha of life.”

Hawaiians believed that the Self consists of three spirits that work together to run a person’s life. “The Hawaiians handed down the secrets of mastering these spirits through their lineages and chants,” said Kessler. “In this workshop, students will dive into the knowledge and power of the ancient Hawaiians, transform themselves, and crack open the secrets of life (huna).”

In this class, Students will learn how to:
--Access, accumulate, and direct power
--Work with the three spirits that create our lives
--Find and work with the filaments of light that mold reality
--Use the secret of time for healing
--Perform Ho’oponopono: The Hawaiian Sacred Rite of Forgiveness
--Be initiated into the use of ancient symbols that open the doors of power

The other workshop--which can be taken without taking the others--in the series include:
--The Elements of Power
--The Power of the Ancestors
--The Power of aloha
--The Power of the Planets
--An Immersion in the Power of Hawai’i: Held Annually on the Big Island of Hawai’i

Each workshop may be taken without having taken any of the others.
