March 31, 2008 - PRLog -- For some unknown reason many of us are finding it more and more important to follow the mandate work to live and not the outworn mode of live to work. In her book conscious Women Conscious Careers, Toronto author Darlene Montgomery shows how women will go to many lengths to both find and live their purpose:

Ten Signs are:
•   Your work is in harmony with your highest self
•   Your work is about serving life
•   Your work assists others in achieving their dreams or goals
•   What you do in your work creates balance in your life and the lives of others
•   Your work does not require you to betray your values
•   Money is only a byproduct flowing naturally from the what you do
•   You wake up filled with gratitude
•   There is an ease and a flow to your actions
•   Your work is no longer work
•   Your work is a demonstration of Love in Action

Author, and Conscious Career Coach Darlene Montgomery has all of these and more in her work. Her writings and coaching practise teach others how to have their highest career through following their dreams or intuition. Says Montgomery, “Finding your highest work requires great trust and many leaps of faith. Your true work often transcends degrees and education. You have to be willing to listen to your heart and act in spite of fear of the unknown.”

Darlene Montgomery, a former associate editor with Chicken Soup for the Canadian Soul who used her passion for stories to build a consciousness raising series of inspirational books called Conscious Women Conscious Lives, has taken these same leaps of faith many times over her 48 years.

“We find that the universe will create doors for us that are invisible to most others because we were willing jump when our higher self said jump,” says Montgomery who has found her way into amazing jobs in spite of limited education.

Montgomery gives workshops to women and men on following this inner wisdom and recently compiled and published her forth book of stories about women following their own wisdom to find their highest work.

The newest in series is called Conscious Women Conscious Careers, by Toronto publisher White Knight Books, and touts stories from Canadian and North American women alike. Many of them are famous in their own right, like Julia Cameron of the multi million selling book, The Artist’s Way.

Most of the 40 or so stories in the book deal with issues of finding meaning, purpose or value in the work we do. Others deal with resolving conflicts at work through prayer, dreams or divine insight, while others talk about meaningful experiences in our work and all of the 40 or so stories are true. The books are available at most major bookstores or can be purchased through Montgomery’s website listed below.

Compiled by Darlene Montgomery, author of Dream Yourself Awake and Associate Editor and publicist of Chicken Soup for the Parent’s Soul and the best-selling, Chicken Soup for the Canadian Soul every story is original and every one true.
