Tellington TTouchTM Bodywork Enhances Pet Owners Relationship with Companion Animals

March 21, 2008 - PRLog -- Chicago, IL – Pet owners will learn how to use the Tellington TTouchTM method to change undesirable habits or behavior, facilitate healing of their animals' injuries, provide comfort measures for ailing animals, and enhance performance of competition animals. Taught  by Claudeen E. McAuliffe, M.Ed., Ph.D. Candidate,  Tellington TTouchTM Bodywork is based on circular movements of the fingers and hands all over the body. According to Founder Linda Tellington-Jones these techniques awaken cellular intelligence and improve cellular function, effectively  turning on the lights to improve cellular communication.  The Tellington TTouchTM Method helps each animal realize their potential for perfect functioning.

Pet owners who learn Tellington TTouchTM will be capable of helping their pets resolve behavior and performance issues, and enhancing their relationships with their pets while promoting a sense of well being that increases the human-animal bond.

It’s very simple and easy to learn,  said McAuliffe.  TTouchTM Bodywork is done with gentle circular, sliding and lifting movements of the hands. These movements, which activate balanced brain wave patterns--the  Awakened Mind  state–and reduce levels of stress hormones, promote whole-brain learning, activate unused neural pathways, and work on a cellular level to help animals release dysfunctional emotional states and movement patterns.  

Tellington TTouchTM Bodywork is also used in veterinary practice to promote healing and rehabilitation.

Tellington TTouchTM Groundwork develops awareness and confidence as animals work through a series of tasks resembling the obstacles on a confidence course. The work enhances focus and concentration, allows behavior patterns such as aggression and timidity to be overcome, and improves physical and mental balance of both animal and handler.

Tellington TTouchTM classes available through Animal Spirit Network consist of two courses – Tellington TTouchTM Bodywork (BW 102) and Tellington TTouchTM Groundwork (BW202).
