Setpoint Provides Update on Real Time Radiography X-Ray Inspection Machine Retrofit

Feb. 5, 2008 - PRLog -- Ogden, Utah  – Setpoint Systems, an automation integration firm, provided an update today on its upgrade efforts for the Real Time Radiography X-Ray Inspection Machine.  The upgrade will displace antiquated technology in the Non Destructive Inspection process that verifies the accuracy of a wide range of parts.  

The Real Time Radiography system (found here: http://www.setpointusa.com/content/index.asp?page=27&paid=4) is used to verify the position, packaging, dimensional data, presence and location of critical part components.  “This upgrade will allow us to serve our customers better by providing detailed images of parts which will allow them to determine more defects and eliminate more false rejects than the current system,” says Steve Nuetzman Vice President of Engineering.

In a world where technology constantly changes this upgrade will expand the usage of the Real Time Radiography Machine into more markets for more part types.  The data shows that 3D imaging technology has matured to the point that these applications are now able to be used for industrial component inspection.
