Jan. 29, 2008 - PRLog -- The Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce is now accepting registration for its 2008 East Bay Women’s Conference, Tools for Living: Constructing the Life You Want, a full day of learning, networking, shopping, and socializing, Monday, March 3, 2008, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the San Ramon Marriott, San Ramon. Organizers expect a sold-out attendance of 500.

The buzz surrounding the third annual EBWC presented by The PMI Group, Inc., in association with Chevron Corporation, is already keen as news of the extraordinary speakers, seminars, and event highlights spreads. Keynote speaker Madame Jehan Sadat, distinguished humanitarian, scholar and lecturer, travels the world from her home in Egypt on behalf of  international peace, children’s welfare, and women’s equality, and will share her messages of love, empowerment, and “passing it on.” Guest speaker Alison Levine, who captivated last year’s audience, is an accomplished mountaineer and entrepreneur whose compelling advice about life parallels her struggles to navigate the world’s most imposing mountains.

This year’s EBWC features a rich menu of breakout session choices presented by industry experts Isa Campbell, building leadership skills and managing change; Sally Thornton and Maggie Baxter, navigating The Mommy Track; Marion Woodard, confronting and resolving conflicts; Dr. Sondra Altman, embracing women’s health in all stages of life; Cathryn Jakobson Ramin, managing memory loss in ourselves and others; Dr. Lani Simpson, dissecting health trends; Mary Brooks, revealing the new face of retirement planning; Susan von Herrmann, taking control of your own retirement; and Kathleen Odne, Carol Noreen, and Regina Louise, changing lives and enriching yours through volunteerism.

Conference highlights include continental breakfast, full lunch, 40 exhibitor booths, free John Muir Women’s Health screenings, bookstore, wine and hors d’oeuvres after-party featuring live entertainment, more than 20 valuable prizes in the Prize Drawing, and two dream “getaway packages” in the Grand Prize Drawing sponsored by Virgin America, Virgin Atlantic, and Embassy Suites. KGO Radio personality Rosie Allen will emcee.

Registration for this all day event is $145.00 per person, and pre-registration is required. Contact the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce at http://www.walnut-creek.com or (925) 934-2007.
