It is so hard to stick to resolutions.  Getting organized may be easier than you think.  Pick one area of your home to start with.  Make three piles – one of definite keepers, one of definite “goers,” and one for those items that you just aren’t sure about.  For each item you place in the piles think about the following:
   When was the last time I used this item? What is the item used for?
   Is this item sentimental?  If so, o I remember where/when I got the item?
   Does this item take up necessary space for other things?
   What would the consequence be for getting rid of the item?
As soon as you finish with one room, begin the next.  Remember, baby steps help you see success, and motivate you to go further.
