PremiereTec Solutions LLC CEO, James Dicks, becomes a contributor to the Why We Serve Program

Dec. 13, 2007 - PRLog -- ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL – November 29, 2007 – During this time of war, our military members are accomplishing some great feats and the Department of Defense believes it’s important for the American population to know. For this reason, they have created a project called Why We Serve, a speakers outreach program intended to re-connect the men and women of the United States Armed Forces with those they serve: The American people.  James Dicks, President/CEO of PremiereTec™ Solutions LLC recently shared his personal “Why He Served” story with the Marine Corps Recruiting Command (MCRC).  

Sergeant Major Fenton Reese, Command Sergeant Major for the US Marine Corps Recruiting Command, said, “Mr. Dicks’ attitude is infectious.  I know his words will inspire the troops and the American population into a better understanding of the commitments our military forces’ are working diligently to successfully complete, especially during a wartime situation.  My special thanks to James Dicks for his service to the country as a Marine and his efforts today in supporting our valued military forces around the world.”

After returning from the Recruiting Command, Dicks explained his passion for the nation’s military, “I really feel there are some great things we can do for the military recruiters around the country by tapping into the various resources that may otherwise not have been used effectively.  That’s what the Why We Serve program is doing.  I have a tremendous passion in assisting the Corps, and other military branches, in successfully accomplishing their recruiting goals.  The military must be portrayed for what it is; a powerful fighting force.  But more than that, it is the world’s greatest fraternity and some of our most successful business leaders have come from their ranks.”  

Why We Serve speakers do not address issues of Department of Defense policy but each member relates his or her own experience in a way that offers Americans a glimpse of military service as can only be seen through the eyes of our uniformed men and women. Some of the speakers contributing to Why We Serve represent the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force and have recently returned from various operations in the war zones of Afghanistan, Iraq or the Horn of Africa.

During his visit to the Marine Corps Recruiting Command, Dicks also attended the annual Marine Corps Birthday Ball which celebrated the 232nd birthday of the United States Marine Corps.  This year’s guest speaker was the Marine Corps Commandant, Gen. James T. Conway.
