Creation To Revelation H.S.Rester The proclamation of the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ is the primary purpose of all Bible study, including the topic of Creation. The Bible teachings about our Creator and His Creation cannot be separated and removed from the gospel message. The entire Bible (Genesis to Revelation), a total of 66 books, is the inspired Word of God. The historical statements of the Bible are factually correct. The Bible is the ultimate source of authority in everything it teaches. The Bible interprets itself. Genesis gives a basic, actual, and literal account of creation. Life-forms on earth (various kinds), including human beings, were created by God. Offspring of initial “kinds” may represent multiple species in the animal kingdom today. This would reflect the potential in the “original” Biological changes and mutations may have occurred within each “kind” since Creation week. The Bible record of the Global/Universal flood of Genesis describes a historically accurate event. The creation of Adam and Eve and the fall of man into sin provide a foundational understanding of the necessity of salvation and the cross of Christ. Death for both mankind and the rest of the creation is a result of man’s original choice to enter into sin. The sin/death causality is central to the necessity of Christ’s sacrificial death on our behalf. All men and women are sinners and are therefore in need of salvation through Jesus Christ. There is a Heaven to gain and a Hell to shun. Those who are not redeemed through Christ will face the eternal punishment of a real and literal hellfire as described in the Bible. Those who are saved will receive eternal life through Jesus Christ. The deliverance from sin is only by the acceptance of the sacrificial life and death of Jesus Christ and through His literal bodily resurrection from the grave. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is a gift received through an individual’s repentance and confession of sin and belief in the death of Christ as complete payment for sin as well as belief in His resurrection. Upon acceptance of Christ as Lord, God, and Savior, a person is “born again.” Website: creationtorevelation.org End
