Value It España (www.valueit.es), the Santa Ursula (Tenerife) based assessor and publisher of property prices, today releases an assessment from its database.  

The cheapest region on average in Tenerife is the North of the island (running from Tacoronte to Buenavista) at 2077 euros per square metre , with San Juan de Rambla being the cheapest municipio at 1296 euros per square metre across the whole of Tenerife.

San Juan de Rambla is closely followed by the municipio of Arafo in the South East of the island, with a cost per square metre of 1397 euros. In third place for having the cheapest property costs is Icod de los Vinos at 1403 euros per square metre.

Commenting on these figures J Gardner of Value It said “while Tenerife as a whole has a relatively high cost per square metre for property at 2010 euros there are some bargains areas in the more rural municipios. The upshot is that careful research pays for buyers who are prepared to live away from the higher priced tourist areas.
