Property prices fall in Adej and Arona inTenerife Spain

April 22, 2008 - PRLog -- Property prices in Adeje and Arona, Tenerife, are falling

Value It España releases today the findings of its survey of properties for sale in the south of Tenerife. Property prices in the South of Tenerife they have fallen by 3,48% on average in the last six months before general inflation of 2,1%. For the popular areas of Adeje and Arona (comprising areas, for example, such as Las Americas, and Los Cristianos) prices have fallen by 3,38% in Arona and 3,41% in Adeje in the last six months. When general inflation is added to these figures the falls have been 5,4% in real terms.

These property price falls are contrasted by other areas such as Santiago del Teide (which includes Playa de la Arena and Los Gigantes), Arico and Fasnia where prices have risen in the last six months.

John Gardner of Value It España commented: “The areas that have been really popular with British buyers, for example Adeje and Arona, are seeing real downtowns in prices while the quieter areas to the east and west are experiencing rising prices. For people looking to buy in any of these areas really thorough pricing research is necessary, by property type, size and area, discerning the trends and negotiating hard to protect themselves from further falls, especially in the areas that have witnessed falls already”.
