Oct. 14, 2007 - PRLog -- West Hollywood, CA - Comedic actress Colleen Crabtree, star of HBO’s U.S. Comedy Arts Festival winner "Closing Escrow," has volunteered to serve as celebrity “ball-caller” for West Hollywood’s Legendary Bingo fundraiser on October 17, 2007. The event will be held at Hamburger Mary’s, 8288 Santa Monica Blvd., at 9:00 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training.

Team In Training provides endurance training to run or walk marathons and half marathons or participate in triathlons and century (100-mile) bike rides. In exchange for personalized coaching, participation in training clinics, and travel expenses to events, participants help raise money towards cures for blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.

"I've witnessed the pain and uncertainty of this type of disease through my very close friends," says Crabtree. "I'm extremely honored to represent this cause."

Established in 1998, Legendary Bingo is a weekly fundraiser that has become a West Hollywood cultural landmark. Each week features a different charity. The event is led by actors Jeffrey Bowman ("Bingo-boy") and Scott Presley ("The Fabulous Belle Aire").

Past celebrity ball-callers include Courtney Cox, David Spade, Loni Anderson, and Ruth Buzzi.
