By: Top Position As a manufacturer and retailer of the industry, New Milford Photo has uncovered the talents of both artists and business brains, inspiring, educational and creative initiatives. From office transfer design of the week to most innovative business marketing creation, heat transfer paper has opened up a whole new world for inspiration in the work place. Get ahead and start a new office trend by creating the first eye-catcher in the workplace! Your company logo embossed on the boss’ mouse pad may just help get you that pay-rise you deserve. Here’s how: Stage 1: Import your company logo into a graphics program as Quark or Coral Draw and flip it back to front. Stage 2: Run a print test on plain paper to ensure the logo will be printed as you see fit. When loading the transfer paper into the printer ensure it is facing the right way. Before clicking print, go to “printer set-up” and select the “High Resolution” or a similar setting for your printer and set the “Paper Type” to “Iron-on Transfer Paper” or “Coated Paper”. Stage 3: Click print, and voila! Don’t get too excited though as we’re not finished yet. Allow the ink to dry before proceeding on to the next step. Stage 4: When your print has completely dried, trace the outline of the mouse pad to the back of the transfer paper and trim round with a pair of paper scissors, leaving a little space around the edges. Stage 5: Pre-heat the iron and set on a high setting with no steam. Once the iron burns hot, spread a piece of cloth on a hard, flat surface and place the mousepad on the fabric with its fabric side facing up. Stage 6: Place the printed laser paper face down and align it onto the fabric side of the mouse pad and iron over using firm circular motions and a steady speed for one minute (or refer to New Milford Photo Transfer’s instructions on ironing). Stage 7: Allow to cool completely before peeling off the transfer paper from a corner of the mouse pad. New Milford Photo transfers for mouse pads create a quirky gift or a fun addition to the home or office environment.
