Nexodus Clean Founder Shanandiss Hampton Shares the Leadership Story Behind the Nexodus Name

AUSTIN, Texas - Oct. 14, 2026 - PRLog -- Nexodus Clean, a national commercial facility services and janitorial management company, today shared the story behind its name and the leadership framework that guides its team and its provider partners.

The name Nexodus joins two words. A nexus is a central hub that connects people. An exodus is a journey out of where you are toward something better. Founder and CEO Shanandiss Hampton, who started the company in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2018, sums it up as the next exodus.

"One of the oldest stories people tell is about leaving the past behind for a promised land," said Hampton. "Getting out was the easy part. The real work was the change in mindset that came after, and that is what leadership is about. The hardest cage to escape is the one in your own head."

ONE NAME, THREE ORGANIZATIONS

That idea grew into what Hampton calls the Nexodus trifecta:

• Nexodus Clean, the facility services company.
• Nexodus BPO, the parent company, at nexodus.biz.
• Nexodus Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, at nexodusinstitute.org.

LEADERS BUILD LEADERS

Hampton teaches leadership through a simple formula, A² + B² = C².

• A²: Affirm and Attract. Leaders are affirmed in who they are first, and lead in a way that makes people want to follow.
• B²: Boundaries and Build. Leaders hold clear standards and build people up through practice.
• C²: Commitment and Compound. Committed teams produce results that multiply, for the company and for each person.

"You never get someone's best from have to," Hampton said. "When people want to do the work, the results compound. Leaders build leaders, and that is the legacy."

At Nexodus Clean, that framework shows up in five operating pillars: Confidence, Compliance, Collaborate, Consistency and Catalytic.

Hampton is developing the framework into a keynote, workshops and a curriculum for schools, companies and entrepreneurs.
