TIRANË, Albania - Oct. 21, 2025 - PRLog -- Earlier this month, four students from Sami Frasheri High School in the Albanian capital, Tirana, emerged as winners at the local leg of the 2025 NASA International Space Apps Challenge. Their win propelled them to take their innovation (RecycleMars) to the international leg of the competition, which also took place earlier this October. The Albanian students competed/collaborated with other students and programmers from around the world. The winners will be announced on December 18.

In the meantime, the preliminary win by the Albanian students has helped put the Eastern European country in a positive light as far as space exploration. The win speaks to the brilliance of young Albanians, especially in the area of STEM innovation. It also shows their commitment to building innovative solutions aimed at addressing earth-space related challenges, specifically recycling.
