IM Houston Prepares to Spread Holiday Cheer This Fall to Meals on Wheels Seniors

HOUSTON - Sept. 26, 2025 - PRLog -- IM Houston's Meals on Wheels program is kicking off its 2025 Thanksgiving and Holiday Projects, and there are a number of opportunities for community involvement.

Each holiday season, IM Houston's Meals on Wheels program delivers more than meals. Drivers and volunteers bring joy, warmth, and companionship to over 3,400 homebound seniors. Each senior receives a turkey dinner with all the trimmings for Thanksgiving and a festive gift bag for Christmas.

IM starts preparing for these vital projects in the fall and is in need of donations and gift bag items for seniors in need. Reliant has stepped up as lead sponsor of the Thanksgiving Project and sponsorship opportunities are still available. IM's Meals on Wheels program is the largest in Texas and is made possible by a combination of government and private support. The Thanksgiving dinners and holiday gifts are extras that bring cheer to homebound seniors. They are made possible by community donations. Meals on Wheels reduces food insecurity and social isolation among a vulnerable population.
