| IM Houston Prepares to Spread Holiday Cheer This Fall to Meals on Wheels SeniorsIM Houston's Meals on Wheels program is calling for volunteers and support as it kicks off its 2025 Thanksgiving and Holiday Projects.
By: IM Houston Each holiday season, IM Houston's Meals on Wheels program delivers more than meals. Drivers and volunteers bring joy, warmth, and companionship to over 3,400 homebound seniors. Each senior receives a turkey dinner with all the trimmings for Thanksgiving and a festive gift bag for Christmas. IM starts preparing for these vital projects in the fall and is in need of donations and gift bag items for seniors in need. Reliant has stepped up as lead sponsor of the Thanksgiving Project and sponsorship opportunities are still available. For more information about becoming a Thanksgiving or Holiday sponsor, visit IMHouston.org. For those seeking a volunteer experience, individuals and groups can collect items for gift bags and assemble them. Learn more about how to participate, what items are needed and where to deliver the bags at https://imgh.org/ IM's Meals on Wheels program is the largest in Texas and is made possible by a combination of government and private support. The Thanksgiving dinners and holiday gifts are extras that bring cheer to homebound seniors. They are made possible by community donations.
