Defendants Expose Bayport Labs Retaliation, Deans Stepp Law Abuse, and 151st Court Misconduct

HOUSTON - Sept. 17, 2025 - PRLog -- Milagros Garcia et al. are defendants in Bayport Laboratories, LLC & Yaumara Camacho v. Garcia et al., Cause No. 2025-41725 in the 151st District Court, Harris County, Texas. Plaintiffs, represented by Deans Stepp Law, LLP, pursue over $5M in damages despite OSHA findings that Milagros Garcia was retaliated against for protected whistleblower activity under Section 11(c) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

This case exposes:

• Abuse of Injunctions: An overbroad Temporary Injunction was granted on contradictory affidavits, backed only by a $500 bond, even though Ms. Garcia's daughter—never employed by Bayport—was named.
• Federal Preemption Ignored: State proceedings interfered with an active federal whistleblower retaliation case.
• Retaliation Tactics: The lawsuit was filed within hours of OSHA granting protection, underscoring its retaliatory purpose.
• Procedural Manipulation: Plaintiffs nonsuited SOS BTY Group, linked to luxury brands at Sephora, after their claims unraveled.
• Attorney Misconduct: Gregory L. Deans and Katherine H. Stepp filed overreaching motions, sought contempt, and even threatened jail when Milagros Garcia reported unsafe practices including glass in foundation bottles, blood contamination, and underfilling products.

Meanwhile, the 151st District Court has compounded the harm: threatening contempt against indigent, disabled defendants, denying ADA accommodations, and failing to enforce basic safeguards. Judge Erica Hughes ruled on her own recusal twice, and allegations of improper ex parte communications with plaintiffs' counsel remain under review.

Bayport, co-founded by Angle and Yaumara Camacho, faces scrutiny over ownership ties to HCT Packaging, a KDC/one subsidiary with a 33% interest in Bayport. Public filings and past litigation raise questions about undisclosed connections and prior fraud allegations.
