GROWTH project, an innovative Erasmus+ initiative designed to empower youth

SOFIA, Bulgaria - Aug. 28, 2025 - PRLog -- With youth unemployment still a pressing issue across many EU countries, and with traditional education models often falling short of addressing real-world challenges, projects like GROWTH are more important than ever.
By creating experiential learning tools, fostering international cooperation, and promoting entrepreneurship as a pathway for social inclusion, the GROWTH project represents a holistic and forward-thinking model for youth development.
In an era of accelerating change and uncertain job markets, youth entrepreneurship has emerged as a powerful solution to combat unemployment and foster innovation across Europe. Recognizing this potential, Balkan Bridge is playing a key role in the GROWTH Erasmus+ project, a cross-national initiative designed to equip young people with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to take charge of their own professional futures.
This initiative, formally titled "An Innovative Approach to Engage European Youth in Positive Entrepreneurial Initiatives" (Project No: 2022-2-IT03-KA220-YOU-000093446), brings together partners from across Europe to co-create impactful educational resources and digital tools aimed at both aspiring young entrepreneurs and those who support them—youth workers, educators, and community organizations.
The GROWTH project is not just about teaching business principles—it's about cultivating the mindset needed for successful, socially responsible entrepreneurship.
One of the most innovative components of the project is the gamified learning platform. At the heart of this platform is a Digital Board Game—a simulation tool that turns entrepreneurship into an interactive journey. Players face real-life scenarios and decisions, learning to navigate challenges such as budgeting, branding, pitching, and managing team dynamics.
This playful yet educational format enhances engagement, promotes critical thinking, and encourages experimentation—all essential elements of entrepreneurial success. It also allows users to "fail safely," which is a crucial aspect of learning and growth in business.
For youth workers and NGOs, the platform doubles as a training resource. It helps professionals gain deeper insights into the challenges faced by young entrepreneurs and equips them to provide more effective guidance.
This groundwork has been instrumental in shaping project outputs that are grounded, relevant, and adaptable. It also ensures that the final toolkit reflects not just the ideas of the project team, but the lived experiences of young entrepreneurs and the organizations that support them.
