Despite the challenges and concerns from family about the music industry, he remained focused on his craft. "I was always the drummer boy, but I wanted to sing," Tushy recalls. His dedication saw him rise to choir coordinator and Teens President in his church, winning competitions and building valuable connections.

At 18, life's realities challenged him, but these moments also unlocked his true artistic identity. Tushy began writing songs seriously while facing personal struggles, using music as an outlet for expression. His move to Anchor University marked a turning point when he started recording freestyles and cyphers, sometimes using just an iPhone, showcasing his raw talent and innovative spirit. This period led to the creation of his producer alter ego, XVI WVE, blending unique sounds and styles that define his signature music.
