TEXAS YES Project Gets Helping Hands from Greater Texas Credit Union

AUSTIN, Texas - Aug. 20, 2025 - PRLog -- The TEXAS YES Project's Little Lockers will be well stocked this fall with new books and arts and crafts for elementary age children.

The Little Lockers make books and resources available to students in deserving communities, giving them access to age-appropriate books to encourage a love for reading.

The TEXAS YES Project has 53 Little Lockers in Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and Dallas. The Lockers are often sponsored by local businesses and community organizations and placed in areas of need in communities without a local library.

Employees from Greater Texas Credit Union took on the task of sorting and preparing an assortment of 500 books to stock all the Little Lockers managed by the TEXAS YES Project. The credit union currently sponsors three Little Lockers in Manor, which is about 12 miles east of Austin.

Credit union employees also offered a helping hand to the TEXAS YES team during the Manor ISD back-to-school bash. Volunteers passed out free school supply kits made available for free from TEXAS YES.

"TEXAS YES is working to improve the educational well-being of Texas children," said Rachel Bond, Assistant Vice President of Community Engagement and Public Relations for Greater Texas Credit Union. "By supporting TEXAS YES, we are able to contribute to the educational success of Texas."
