LANCASTER, Pa. - Aug. 21, 2025 - PRLog -- MoMojo Records proudly announces Glass Half Full, the eighth album from New Orleans native, Bev Conklin. Deep personal loss was the catalyst for this collection, and Bev Conklin's 33 year co-writer and bandleader, Wayne Smith, used the band as his vessel for expressing himself after losing his brother to suicide. These songs deliver a musical message, covering a myriad of powerful emotions from frustration to revelation, and viewing the world from different vantages.

The BC Combo has been bringing its signature style and passion to blues, jazz, swing, folk, R&B, soul and more for over three decades. Based in Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley and including world class national touring artists from New Orleans, Chicago and Bethlehem, PA, the band's journey began as BC & The Blues Crew in 1992. In addition to touring the Northeast and performing at various festivals, in the late 90s they represented the Billtown Blues Association as a finalist at the International Blues Challenge held in Memphis. Led by the Lehigh Valley's voice and ambassador of the Blues, Bev Conklin aka "BC" is a blues community activist as well as performer. She established the Women's Blues Alliance, the Lehigh River Blues Jam and now the new Roots Music Concerts series to nurture and support blues growth in the region.

"After having worked with Bev to reorganize and optimize her back catalog for today's digital music world, we look forward to building on that foundation with this new album," says Sallie Bengtson, MoMojo Records President. "As a young adult and emerging blues fan, long before joining the music industry professionally, I was a fan of BC and The Blues Crew. It is gratifying to now work side by side to advance our individual and collective dreams and goals as music professionals."

"My musical journey has been about putting one foot in front of the other and not hesitating to walk through an open door, especially when one closes," reflects Bev Conklin. "My door just seemed to be revolving in circles until I met Sallie Bengtson, who opened the door to a lifetime of prayers answered. I am thankful that she and Debra Clark, MoMojo label services manager, have fueled the momentum lifting me to heights I'd have never achieved alone. This new album proves that words do matter, can heal, and that music is colorblind when it moves you."

"That Would Be Us," the first single from the album, was released July 25. The second single, "Hooked On A Long Chain," drops August 22. The complete album will be available September 12. Both singles are available immediately with digital album preorders at lnk.to/BCGlassHalfFull.

The band will celebrate the release of Glass Half Full at The Sellersville Theater, Sellersville, PA on Saturday, September 13. A schedule of additional performances, including the official 2025 Reading Blues Fest opening show on November 19 at the Reading Liederkranz can be found at bevconklin.com/shows.
