TransTrak launches Ultra Narrow Tractor to change the course of farm mechanisation

PUNE, India - Aug. 18, 2025 - PRLog -- TransTrak Tractors announces the launch of the world's narrowest farm tractor, model ST1. This 26-inch narrow crawler tractor is specifically built to eliminate labor dependency in farming. This is a transforming, multi-purpose tractor for all farming jobs - complete with disruptive innovations that the tractor industry has not seen in 115 years since the advent of tractors.

With the rapid depletion of farm labor worldwide, inter-row operations have become extremely stressful and expensive for farmers. Also, the traditional machinery like power/rotary tillers or compact tractors lack the traction needed for farm operations, while large tractors are too wide to traverse through rows of standing crop.

After seven years of extensive research, Transtrak's Model ST1 Tractor is designed to eliminate all five - large tractor, compact tractor, rotary tiller, farm labor and bullocks. It provides an all-in-one mechanisation solution to farmers globally.

As narrow as a bullock/horse, this tractor can perform inter-row cultivation in standing crops like deep tilling, furrowing, de-weeding, spraying, and soil pulverisation. Narrow yet very high traction, equivalent to that of a large 55HP traditional tractor, allows it to pull and push large implements, like three ploughs, disc harrows, cultivators and dozers.

The current product launch makes the product available in the state of Maharashtra, India and then subsequently spread to other states of India. Speaking at the company's factory in Pune today, the Directory of Marketing, Mrs. Poonam Dhonde said "the company has aggressive marketing plans including introduction into Europe and North America next year".

TransTrak has collaborated with a slew of Academic and Industry partners during the research, development and field testing of the tractor and its implements.
