The Grand Cru Soldier On With New Single!

CARDIFF, Wales - June 27, 2025 - PRLog -- The Grand Cru are an international songwriting team composed of Merthyr Tydfil's Darren Parry, Swansea's Steve Balsamo, Rhondda's Lee Gilbert and Florida's (USA) Bonnie Skop!

Between them they have written songs for ... The Korgis, Meatloaf, Slash and Cliff Richard; supported Celine Dion and Elton John; worked with Ted Nugent and Bob Seger, travelled the world touring; won some of the world's most prestigious songwriting awards, had their songs heard by Beyonce and Phil Collins and performed with The Crazy Frog!!!

You might have heard their previous singles on BBC Radio, ie "I Was There" (the official 9/11 song for the US National Guard) and "17" which made the Radio Wales Welsh 'A list' back in Nov 2024!

Their new single "Soldier On" is out now and comes from their 8 track album 'September 11 - Music To Heal Your Soul' which is available everywhere! It has already made the BBC Radio Wales 'Welsh A list'.

Darren Parry from The Cru says..."the song is very radio friendly and contemporary. Lee Gilbert is singing lead vox on this one with the rest of The Cru providing the backing, instruments etc. It's a song about not giving up, looking in the face of adversity and soldiering on, despite the challenges of life"!
