STLE Hosts Virtual Symposium on Application of Tribology in Astronautics, July 29-30, 2025

PARK RIDGE, Ill. - June 24, 2025 - PRLog -- The Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) — the premier technical society serving the needs of the tribology and lubrication engineering business sector — is hosting a Virtual Symposium on Tribology in Aerospace Applications, July 29-30, 2025, from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. CT.

This symposium, "Application of Tribology in Astronautics," addresses the critical role of tribology in enabling and sustaining space missions. While the majority of tribological applications are grounded in terrestrial environments, space presents the harshest operational conditions imaginable. This gathering of experts will explore the broad spectrum of aerospace tribology applications, encompassing design methodologies, material selection, lubrication strategies and qualification procedures.
