Sort Group CEO Named Finalist At British Mortgage Awards 2025

DERBY, U.K. - June 18, 2025 - PRLog -- Kevin Tunnicliffe, CEO of Derby-based property, legal and financial specialists Sort Group, has been recognised for his outstanding leadership, after being shortlisted for Business Leader: Conveyancer of the Year at the British Mortgage Awards 2025.

The awards, which are organised by Mortgage Solutions, shine a spotlight on the most influential figures in the UK mortgage industry, and recognise those individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and a lasting impact on the sector.

The Business Leader: Conveyancer category celebrates individuals who demonstrate outstanding operational leadership and play a key role in shaping the future of conveyancing.

Kevin's shortlisting reflects his continued drive to streamline and modernise the homebuying process, alongside his commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients across the UK.

This latest recognition follows Kevin's win in the same category in 2024 and comes shortly after his success at the 2025 British Specialist Lending Awards, where he was also named Business Leader: Conveyancer of the Year award in recognition of his transformative impact on the conveyancing sector.

Winners of the British Mortgage Awards 2025 will be announced at an awards ceremony on 3rd July at Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge in London.

Kevin's leadership journey began with the launch of SortRefer in 2009. He expanded the business into a full-service property group with the creation of Sort Legal in 2017. Since then, Sort Group has grown significantly and is now a market leader in the conveyancing and legal services sector.

Over the last 12 months, under Kevin's direction, the Group has delivered record-breaking performance, with a 14% increase in overall instructions, a 10% increase in overall completions and conveyancing instructions and a 22% increase in survey instructions.

He has also spearheaded the launch of a new 'property hub' in South Shields in collaboration with MyInfinity Finance Group, with further expansion planned throughout 2025.

The Group is now gearing up for its next chapter, with ambitious growth plans and continued investment in technology and software development over the next three years.
