Cadaniño Foundation President Timothy Martiny Joins Global Tech Leaders at FutureEdge Summit

STEM Education Advocate Highlights the Role of Youth Empowerment in Guatemala's Digital Transformation at Leading Tech Summit

GUATEMALA, Guatemala - May 24, 2025 - PRLog -- Timothy Martiny, President and Co-Founder of the Cadaniño Foundation, joined a distinguished lineup of global tech leaders as a featured speaker at the FutureEdge Tech Summit in Guatemala City. The summit brought together innovators, investors, and officials to explore the future of digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and Guatemala's potential as a regional data center hub.

Martiny delivered a compelling talk titled "Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators in Guatemala," sharing how Cadaniño's afterschool programs in high-risk communities are bridging the digital divide and transforming lives through STEM education. He emphasized that Guatemala's tech future must begin not only with infrastructure investment, but with its youth.

"If Guatemala is to scale as a technology hub, we must build the pipeline now. That means investing in children today," Martiny said. "At Cadaniño, we're equipping students from vulnerable backgrounds with the tools they need to thrive—coding, robotics, 3D printing, and critical thinking. If we help students shift from consuming technology to creating it, we set them on a path defined not by poverty, but by possibility."

His message aligned with the summit's central theme: positioning Guatemala as a strategic location for fourth-generation AI data centers. Other featured speakers included Syed Natif Nawaz, Chief Growth Officer of Aurum Equity Partners, who outlined Guatemala's advantages in renewable energy and geography; Julio Pallavicini of EY Global Consulting Services, who focused on AI workforce development; and Dennis Gallagher, CEO of Bold Capital Group, who stressed the importance of sustainable energy.

Martiny offered a grassroots perspective that complemented the summit's investment focus. He stressed the importance of developing digital talent locally—starting with children as young as 8—and shared real stories of Cadaniño students now coding, building robots, and attending university through the foundation's tech programs.
