April 26, 2025 - PRLog -- Set for a limited release, indie film "The Flustered Boy" will be airing in select theaters across the greater Indianapolis area this week only (04/27/2025-05/03/2025). Directed by Ryan Sutton, this indie film contains elements of drama, horror, slapstick comedy, and true crime. Set in 1950s Mozambique, the plot centers around a titular boy who is all flustered, all the time. Can he use his fusteredness to rise up and protect his society from a foreboding fate as prophesied by the time traveling Tommy Tutone, or will he let his flusteredness define him and resign his existence to resolute oblivion? Containing a zany array of characters, this film is a true visionary masterpiece. Viewing may evoke strong emotions of laughter, love, despair, and existential dread.
When asked about the film, director Ryan Sutton said "[The Flustered Boy] really pushes the boundaries of filmmaking by displaying surrealistic imagery mixed with philosophical and truly soul shattering questions of human nature. It really centers around the questions of what does it mean to be flustered and who is this boy. In ten years, I strongly believe I will look back at this piece of artwork as my magnum opus." This film is not to be missed. Check your local theaters for showtimes!
