Good Shepherd Ministries to Serve 1,400 Easter Sunday Meals to the Homeless and Vulnerable

TORONTO - April 19, 2025 - PRLog -- Good Shepherd Ministries will host a free festive meal at Good Shepherd Centre (412 Queen Street East) on Easter Sunday, April 20, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., for individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, or vulnerability.

The event is expected to serve up to 1,400 nourishing Easter meals, offering not only food but also a warm, welcoming environment filled with the spirit of hope and renewal that Easter represents.

"Easter is a time of renewal, compassion, and connection," said Aklilu Wendaferew of Good Shepherd Ministries. "We believe in celebrating this season by coming together as a community to support our neighbours in need."

Good Shepherd Ministries operates Toronto's largest free meal program, serving meals 365 days a year to anyone in need. In 2024 alone, the organization provided an astounding 389,259 meals, helping individuals facing food insecurity and hardship.
