Give for Gratitude - Bonei Olam Launches New Initiative

Bonei Olam Chabad announced the launch of its "Give fro Gratitude Initiative," a community
movement that transforms personal celebrations into opportunities to help couples overcome
fertility challenges.
The initiative enables individuals and families to dedicate portions of their weddings, bar/bat
mitzvahs, anniversaries, and other celebrations to funding fertility treatments for couples who
might otherwise be unable to afford them.
"Every milestone in life is a gift, and what better way to show gratitude for these blessings than
by helping others experience their own?" said Zalman Katz, Director of Bonei Olam Chabad. "This
initiative creates a beautiful cycle where personal joy multiplies by creating pathways to
parenthood for couples in need."
Drawing inspiration from the Torah verse "Open your hand to your brother" (Deuteronomy
15:11), the program offers several ways to integrate giving into celebrations:
● Celebration Dedications: Allocating a percentage of event budgets to support fertility
treatments
● Milestone Donations: Making contributions to mark special occasions
● Tribute Cards: Offering guests the opportunity to donate in lieu of traditional gifts
The initiative is already showing promising results in its early stages. What's particularly
meaningful is how the program creates a cycle of giving, with many former recipients choosing
to become donors themselves once they've successfully built their families.
