Faire Wind & Song: A Cutting-Edge Expedition Documentary Series Powered by Advanced Maritime & Prod

📽️ Combining bold storytelling with high-tech innovation, Faire Wind & Song sets sail to capture the spirit of music, cuisine, and culture from communities across the globe — all while fully under sail.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - March 28, 2025 - PRLog -- Faire Wind & Song is a global documentary series that explores music, cuisine, and culture — including language, history, and all aspects of what we refer to as culture — in real time, with a crew that lives aboard a state-of-the-art sailing production vessel.

We begin where the Great Lakes flow north, travel through the Canadian Arctic, cross the North Sea to Europe, journey down through the Mediterranean, and head west across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. Our crew of musicians, chefs, filmmakers, and cultural explorers will film and record every moment with some of the most advanced equipment ever used in expedition documentary.

Our gear includes 12K Blackmagic Design digital cinema cameras, aerial and underwater drones, mast-mounted PTZ systems, and 64 channels of 32-bit float audio recorded in ProTools and Fairlight — all powered by 40 bifacial solar panels from Canadian Solar and battery banks large enough to run the entire ship, production system, and crew for 24 hours without backup.

This is not a lifestyle shoot. This is not a film school project. This is a global initiative. The ship is the set. The crew are the talent. And every place we go, we leave something behind — from music to soccer balls to shared stories. Crew and guests will be wearing PUMA footwear and apparel, and in every village we visit, we will generously distribute Faire Wind & Song SWAG and PUMA soccer balls to the local kids.

All gear used in production is Microsoft Windows-based. Every episode is cut on site using Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve, and features in-frame Microsoft Surface hardware and Dell Alienware editorial stations. All production and storage servers use Seagate 32TB drives configured in high-speed RAID 50 arrays for maximum performance and redundancy.

Each season ends with the release of a feature-length documentary cut from the expedition footage, with the goal of global film festival submission. This series is made by a team with decades of experience in music, film, and live production — and a deeply personal commitment to documenting stories that matter.

Yes, we're going everywhere — as long as there's an ocean, a river, or a story worth telling.

Follow the campaign and help bring this vision to life.
