Anup Jalota to Perform Bhajans and Geet in Hyderabad

Anup Jalota, fondly known as the Bhajan & Geet Samrat, is set to perform at Jhankar 2025 – Season 6, an event organized by Sangitanjali Foundation at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Hyderabad, on March 8, 2025, at 7:00 PM onwards.

Hyderabad has always been a cherished destination for the Padma Shri awardee. "The city has a deep love for poetry and devotional music, and I always feel connected to my audience here," says Jalota.

The concert will feature some of his most beloved bhajans and geet, enchanting listeners with renditions that have made him a household name. Known for classics like "Aisi Lagi Lagan," "Rang De Chunariya," and "Jag Mein Sundar Hai Do Naam," Jalota's performance promises to take the audience on a spiritual and nostalgic journey.

Celebrating Musical Traditions

This special evening, conceptualized and curated by Abhijeeth Bhattacharjee, will also feature Prodgyut Mukherjee, a Grammy jury member and GIMA Award winner, adding a unique musical element to the event. The concert aims to promote and celebrate traditional Indian music, keeping the rich heritage of bhajans and geets alive.

The event is being held in aid of Autism Ashram, supporting a noble cause while bringing together music lovers from across the city.
