DJC Law Files Lawsuit Against Delta Air Lines and Endeavor Air Following February 2025 Plane Crash

AUSTIN, Texas - Feb. 20, 2025 - PRLog -- DJC Law, in conjunction with the Watts Law Firm and the Carabin Shaw Law Firm, announces today that it has filed a lawsuit on behalf of its client, Marthinus Lourens, a victim of the recent plane crash involving Delta Airlines Flight 4819. The crash occurred on February 17, 2025, as the flight, operated by Delta's subsidiary Endeavor Air, attempted to land at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

The complaint alleges that Mr. Lourens, a paying passenger aboard the flight from Minneapolis-St. Paul to Toronto, suffered significant physical injuries and emotional distress during and after the crash. As the plane landed, the right-hand wing clipped the runway, resulting in a fire and the aircraft flipping upside down. Mr. Lourens was trapped inside the burning aircraft, drenched in jet fuel, before being able to evacuate. Mr. Lourens assisted in the evacuation by opening the emergency exit.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, asserts claims under the Montreal Convention, holding Delta Air Lines and Endeavor Air liable for the incident. The case seeks damages for the physical injuries, mental anguish, and future medical costs Mr. Lourens faces as a result of the crash. The suit also highlights the defendants' negligence in the operation, maintenance, and management of the flight, which directly contributed to the crash and subsequent harm.
