East Orange Hosts "Compliance Made Easy" Workshop to Empower Small Businesses

EAST ORANGE, N.J. - Oct. 16, 2024 - PRLog -- The City of East Orange, under the leadership of Mayor Ted Green and the East Orange City Council, continues its commitment to supporting small business owners with the fourth session of its professional development workshop series, "Compliance Made Easy: A Roadmap for Success." This nine-session series is designed to empower small businesses with the tools and knowledge to enhance their entrepreneurial skills and successfully navigate the UEZ certification process.

The series, created and facilitated by Anna D. Banks, Founder and Managing Director of Thrive Leadership Institute, Inc., focuses on the importance of regulatory compliance and how businesses can avoid legal pitfalls. Participants were guided through critical topics such as obtaining and maintaining business licenses, understanding local regulations, and meeting UEZ compliance requirements, which offer significant financial advantages, including reduced sales taxes and tax exemptions on purchases.
