Alternative Options for High School Students

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - Aug. 15, 2024 - PRLog -- Dr. Joseph Torregrasso, Principal of the Donna J. Beasley Technical Academy (DJB) located at 60 Bell Boulevard North in Lehigh Acres, FL, invites students and their families, the local community, businesses, and industry leaders to our open houses on Tuesday, August 20th, and Wednesday, August 21st, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The open houses are scheduled after the start of school to allow students to explore alternative options that could help their academic success.

Established in 2013, the Donna J. Beasley Technical Academy (DJB) is a nonprofit (501c3) tuition-free charter high school serving at-risk students in Lee County. DJB assists students in earning their high school diploma and prepares them for college and career success through an individually paced, technology-based, flexibly scheduled program.

The academy helps students who are behind in their graduation requirements obtain their diplomas. In collaboration with community partners, businesses, and industry leaders, DJB equips students with the academic and technical skills needed to succeed in today's economy, offering them "their best second chance."
