Remastered Versions of Sermons on the Book of John by Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - May 22, 2024 - PRLog -- The MLJ Trust is delighted to announce the completion of a major audio remastering project by dedicated volunteers. This effort aimed to preserve and distribute the sermon library of Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, a renowned 20th-century Welsh Protestant minister, preacher, and medical doctor who greatly influenced the Reformed wing of evangelicalism. The remastered work includes sermons on the Book of John which exemplifies the tireless work being done to deliver God's Word to the world.

The sermon series on the Book of John is a comprehensive exploration of this Gospel, with over 185 sermons in the main series, an early series of 64 sermons, and an additional 13 sermons preached at Westminster Chapel. This series delves deeply into the theological richness of the Book of John in the bible, highlighting its unique insights into the life, ministry, and divinity of Jesus Christ. The sermons cover vital passages and themes, offering profound interpretations and practical applications for modern believers.

This in-depth study of the book of John includes sermons like "The Light Shines in the Darkness" based on John 1:5,  "Christ the Hope of Glory," based on John 1:10-12,  "Authentic Marks of God's Child" based on John 1:12-13, The Spirit; Leading and Love" based on John 1:12-13,  "Personal Assurance," based on John 1:12-13,  "A Sovereign Lord" based on John 2:3-5, "You Must Be Born Again" based on John 3:1-8,  "The Power of the Resurrection" a sermon on  John 3:8, "Christ; the Only Hope" on John 7:7,  and "The Doctrine of Sin," a sermon on John 17:17.

Through his sermons on the Book of John  Dr. Lloyd Jones addresses the profound spiritual darkness in the world and human hearts due to the Fall. Dr. Lloyd-Jones emphasizes the inability of people to recognize or accept the light of Christ, often responding with hatred toward the Gospel. Despite this, the light of Christ persists, having shone throughout history via scripture, prophets, apostles, and the Church.
