Shepherd's painting technique merges bright and saturated colors often colliding with bold line work and organic forms. He is also known for his vintage collages reconfiguring imagery and subjects in interesting and often unusual ways while retaining their elegance and natural beauty combined with his organic style. His new exhibition "Primitive" showcases the progression of his work with these new mixed media assemblages that fuse together his painting, collages, with the addition of unique pieces of wood creating a 3-dimensional element to the works that gives them a sculptural quality. Daniel Shepherd is a Phoenix based artist who is creating fascinating abstract paintings, collages and mixed media artworks. His artwork is included in private collections around the world and he has exhibited his work extensively throughout Arizona and California. Shepherd is currently represented by Royse Contemporary in Scottsdale Arizona . His work has been featured in numerous publications both online and in print including: Scottsdale Independent, Phoenix Magazine, Visual Art Source, Java Magazine, and Phoenix New Times, just to name a few. "Primitive" will be on display from May 23 through June 23, 2024. We will host a special reception for the artist on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, celebrating the artist and his new collection of work.
