Dr. Francelis Gonzalez Honored with Double Recognition During International Women's Month

ORLANDO, Fla. - March 29, 2024 - PRLog -- In celebration of International Women's Month, Dr. Francelis Gonzalez, affectionately known to many as Dr. G, has been honored with two prestigious recognitions for her outstanding contributions to both the community and the field of business. Dr. Gonzalez, a distinguished pediatrician and a pillar in the Orlando community, was celebrated in the 15-year anniversary issue of Tu Revista Mujer and received the esteemed Women Who Mean Business 2024 award by the Orlando Business Journal.

Dr. Gonzalez's journey began in Puerto Rico, where she nurtured the dream of becoming a physician from an early age. Her academic journey led her to earn a medical degree, graduating Cum Laude from National University Pedro H. Ureña in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She completed her Pediatric Residency at Ponce District Hospital in Puerto Rico, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Los Angeles Children's Hospital, and Bone Marrow Transplant Training at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle. In 1998, Dr. Gonzalez chose Orlando as her home, where she has since been dedicated to the care and well-being of children in Central Florida.

In March of 1999, Dr. Gonzalez established Kidville Pediatrics in Haines City, marking a significant milestone in her career and a testament to her commitment to pediatric healthcare opening several clinics since then in Clermont. Kissimmee, Hunters Creek, and East Orlando. Over the years, Dr. Gonzalez has become a respected figure not only for her medical expertise but also for her contributions to the arts, community support, and leadership in the business realm.

The recognition in Tu Revista Mujer underscores Dr. Gonzalez's influence and dedication to supporting the arts and various organizations within the community. The Women Who Mean Business 2024 award, celebrated at a ceremony attended by approximately 300 individuals, highlights her achievements as a businesswoman and her role in setting an exemplary standard of leadership.

Dr. Gonzalez is a Board-Certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, whose career has been characterized by her passion for medicine and her unwavering commitment to the children and families she serves.
