Ralph Mahana, General Manager of the Windsor Court, expressed his excitement about the collective effort, stating, "We (Windsor Court) are thrilled to have been a part of this wonderful endeavor with ACCENT New Orleans. The collective effort to support local pets in need has been truly heartwarming." While the 2023 'Besties Collection Drive' has concluded, the Louisiana SPCA continues to require ongoing support. LASPCA welcomes donations year-round, with a particular emphasis on assistance during late spring and the beginning of summer. "We stay busy at the LASPCA! Our average morning can include hundreds of tasks – from behavior and health screenings, caring for our shelter population by feeding, nursing, and cleaning, to preparing for their upcoming surgeries. We always need volunteers to help us exercise the animals with walks, shower them with affection and petting, and even fold the laundry!" said Kathryn Destreza, Director of Operations. For those interested in staying updated on free vaccination drives across the community, LASPCA encourages checking for posted updates. Additionally, the organization is actively seeking support from corporate sponsors for the upcoming 2024 Carnival event.
