New Orleans Hospitality Partners Collaborate to Support Local Pets in Need

NEW ORLEANS - Dec. 19, 2023 - PRLog -- In a heartwarming collaboration between ACCENT New Orleans DMC and local hospitality partners, the 'Besties Collection Drive' successfully collected and donated 22 love-packed boxes of essential food and supplies to the Louisiana SPCA. Leading the charge, the Windsor Court garnered recognition for their exceptional efforts in supporting local pets in need.

The 'Besties Collection Drive' showcased the generosity of New Orleanians and the commitment of local hospitality partners, including

• Loews Hotel,
• Windsor Court,
• Omni Royal Orleans Hotel,
• Ritz-Carlton Hotel,
• Westin Hotel,
• The Roosevelt,
• Royal Sonesta,
• Hotel Intercontinental New Orleans, and
• NOPSI Hotel.

ACCENT New Orleans DMC, a company deeply rooted in the community, spearheaded this initiative to make a positive impact on the lives of pets in challenging circumstances.

Ralph Mahana, General Manager of the Windsor Court, expressed his excitement about the collective effort, stating, "We (Windsor Court) are thrilled to have been a part of this wonderful endeavor with ACCENT New Orleans. The collective effort to support local pets in need has been truly heartwarming."

While the 2023 'Besties Collection Drive' has concluded, the Louisiana SPCA continues to require ongoing support. LASPCA welcomes donations year-round, with a particular emphasis on assistance during late spring and the beginning of summer.

"We stay busy at the LASPCA! Our average morning can include hundreds of tasks – from behavior and health screenings, caring for our shelter population by feeding, nursing, and cleaning, to preparing for their upcoming surgeries. We always need volunteers to help us exercise the animals with walks, shower them with affection and petting, and even fold the laundry!" said Kathryn Destreza, Director of Operations.
