PUNE, India - Dec. 6, 2023 - PRLog -- One sport that has been growing in popularity in India for a while is swimming. India is producing a new generation of talented swimmers who want to establish themselves internationally. Among these rising stars is Arjun Muralidharan, a young swimmer from India whose outstanding achievements and unwavering dedication to the sport make waves in the swimming community.

He has won 15 national championships. He is regarded by many as one of India's best butterfly swimmers. Additionally, from 2004 to 2006, he won three straight Open National Championships as the best swimmer. He also held the national titles for the 50, 100, and 200-meter backstroke in 2006 and the three national titles for the butterfly in four years. He won the gold medal in the Speedo Eastern Canadian Championships in Montreal in 2006, making history as the first Indian swimmer to win a gold medal at a foreign national championship.

Not only was he the first Indian swimmer to win a bronze medal at the 2004 Commonwealth Youth Games in Bendigo, Australia, but he also won a silver medal at the 2005 Asian Indoor Games in Bangkok. Arjun Muralidharan swimmer broke his national record in the 100-meter butterfly at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar. Arjun has won gold in the 200-meter butterfly at the 2008 Canada Cup and multiple medals at the Canadian National Championship.
