Grant Teaff Foundation Announcement

WACO, Texas - Nov. 29, 2023 - PRLog -- College Football Hall of Fame Coach Grant Teaff has spent decades encouraging and inspiring others through his career and experiences. Now his legacy of influence will live on for years to come through the newly established Grant Teaff Foundation.

The Grant Teaff Foundation is a nonprofit organization that has been initially funded with an endowment from the Teaff family, and gratefully accepts donations to continue their mission. The organization is committed to recognizing and supporting the education and development of Texas high school students in the areas of servant leadership and community service.

In partnership with the Texas Sports Hall of Fame and the Texas High School Coaches Association, the Grant Teaff Beyond the Game Team Award will be the main vehicle for the Foundation's mission of recognition and support. This award will reward high school sports teams who have engaged in outstanding servant leadership and community service initiatives. The selected team will receive a table at the Texas Sports Hall of Fame Induction and will be recognized during the ceremony. A grant of $5,000 from the Grant Teaff Foundation will be awarded to the selected school's athletics program. You can learn more about the rewards and recognition at GrantTeaff.org.

"Helping coaches, athletes and teams to use their influence to make a difference in their communities has been my passion," Grant Teaff said. "Going beyond the game to serve others benefits the recipient and helps to create servant leaders."

The Foundation will also serve to help support the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, which will also be involved in administering the Beyond the Game Award.

Teaff is well-known and fondly remembered for his "Miracle on the Brazos" championship season at Baylor University and his highly successful and decorated 37-year coaching career. He later served as Executive Director at the American Football Coaches Association. Over the years, he has been honored in eight halls of fame.
