Expressing Emotions in Portraits

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Nov. 7, 2023 - PRLog -- Artist Adri Norris, creator of the Women Behaving Badly painting series, will be teaching a portrait drawing workshop, focusing on drawing facial expressions. Class is open to artists of any level. Norris says, "I am a firm believer that if you can write, you can draw." This is why she has taken the time to distill her nearly 30 years of experience into easily digested steps. Students have already experienced improvement in the likenesses of their portraits. This next installment will make those portraits more expressive. Learn how to draw smiles that make you want to smile back and tears that make you want to cry. Class will be held at North Fourth Art Center on Saturday, November 11th from 10am to Noon.

Afro Triangle Designs was founded by artist Adri Norris shortly after she graduated with a degree in Animation in 2008. What began as a graphic design business has found its wings in the world of fine art. Norris is an excellent painter who specializes in watercolor portraiture, a subject and medium many shy away from. There is a life to her work that attests to her education.
