Chima Steakhouse And Emjac Industries, Partner To Turn Its Wine Offerings Into A Selling Proposition

HIALEAH, Fla. - Nov. 1, 2023 - PRLog -- Chima Steakhouse, a beloved name in the dining industry, is taking a bold step towards enhancing its culinary experience and elevating profitability with a focus on its wine collection utilizing the extraordinary and functional designs of Harmonic Wine Displays.

Chima Steakhouse, aptly named after "chimarrao," a traditional Brazilian drink, is renowned for its delectable grilled meats and impeccable service. At its latest restaurant in Orlando, Florida, the management sought to emphasize its curated wine selection. To bring this vision to life, they collaborated with Harmonic Wine Displays, a subsidiary of  EmJac Industries, based in Hialeah, Florida, which specializes in the design, fabrication and installation of custom crafted wine displays; coolers, walls, cellars and rooms.

Traditionally, restaurants rely on a 60-70% profit margin from food sales, but wine service can yield an impressive 80% profit margin. So, Chima Steakhouse aimed to not only preserve its wine collection but also to enhance the guest experience and drive profitability.

Combining Beauty and Functionality

Chris Fletcher, Director of Design and Sales for Harmonic Wine Displays, shared, "Combining beauty and functionality is our specialty." Harmonic Wine Displays was entrusted with the task of designing a wine room measuring 10 feet by 20 feet housing up to 5,000 bottles. It had to be visible from the dining area, maintain optimal refrigeration and humidity levels, and offer easy accessibility for staff.

Solving Challenges

Amid the project's development, a change in the ceiling plan from a drop ceiling to a fixed ceiling posed a significant challenge. To ensure the project remained on schedule, Harmonic Wine Displays expedited the installation, allowing the new ceiling to be fitted around the wine room seamlessly.

Fletcher emphasized, "Opening a restaurant is quite an undertaking, and when challenges arise, it's critical to resolve them promptly with the opening date in mind." Additionally, a potential issue related to service access for the refrigeration and lighting systems was identified and proactively addressed. An access panel above the wine room's entrance was added within the deadline to accommodate the customer's needs.
