PRLog -- Ann Pizzorusso, prize winning author, has won the "National Prize Giuseppe De Lorenzo" award for the Italian edition of her book, Tweeting da Vinci (Twittando da Vinci). The prize was awarded to her in Latronico, Italy, on September 30, 2023. Giuseppe De Lorenzo (Lagonegro, 1871 - Napoli, 1957) was a renowned geologist, having contributed significantly to the history of the formation of the Apennines. He was also a scholar of Leonardo da VincI, having written a seminal book on Leonardo's ideas on geology. He was able to influence both scientists and the general public as a result of his mastery of art and science, having studied philosophy, literature, Far Eastern languages and Buddhism. Pizzorusso, a geologist and Italian Renaissance scholar, focused her book on the geology of Italy and how it influenced its cultural development. From prehistoric times to the Etruscans, Dante and Da Vinci, she demonstrated how geology was the foundation upon which many developments in the fields of art and science was based. Pizzorusso is the author of a number of prize winning books.
